Not entertaining

Am I missing something? The government is going to spend money demolishing a functional Sydney Entertainment Centre to build a bigger, although apparently not big enough, new complex (''Convention centre plans not big enough, Hazzard told'', September 15).

At the same time, all the spaces at Homebush languish in under-utilisation. Oh, and they are going to build a large, undefined complex under the headland park at Barangaroo.

For a new government that seems to be getting on with things and making good decisions, this seems like crazy stuff.
