The concern over two major topics in the Herald of late can be easily solved: simply build a new detention centre at the Barangaroo site. There is a nice big flat bit of land there doing nothing right now, which should reduce establishment and construction costs considerably, maximum of two stories high, lots of coconut palms in big buckets all over the place and paint the fence green.

Boats can come straight up the harbour and tie up alongside.

No massive ugly invasive tower complex and no endless bickering about designs. Refugee accommodation problem solved without having to lean on the neighbours, to say nothing of the millions of dollars I have just saved the government. Win- win all round.

No need to thank me, I'm only too happy to help; however, the matter of my consultant fee is still to be addressed.
